DR STEINHUBL is a cardiologist and clinician-scientist at the Geisinger Health System. The primary focus of research work is in the application of an integrated systems-based approach to the optimal identification, communication and treatment of individualized risk of the various manifestations of cardiovascular disease. As a clinical trialist he has been the principal investigator of multiple international multicenter randomized trials and played a leadership role in over a dozen other large-scale trials and registries. He has been a grant reviewer and served on the Professional Education Committee and the Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Committee of the American Heart Association and a member of the Annual Scientific Sessions Planning Committee of the American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the Editorial Boards of the American Heart Journal and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and is a past co- Editor-in-Chief of Acute Coronary Syndromes.
