Steering Committee - Biography
Douglas W. Roblin, PhD
Senior Research Scientist with The Center for Health Research / Southeast at Kaiser Permanente Georgia (KPGA), and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Management with the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University
Dr. Roblin is a social anthropologist with research interests in chronic disease epidemiology and quality of care, methods of risk stratification and adjustment, the impact of psychosocial circumstances on health, and the association delivery system characteristics (e.g. benefit design) and patient outcomes. He is co-principal investigator on projects to evaluate the impact of social support and strain on lifestyle and obesity and to evaluate the psychometric properties of the BRFSS "Actions to Control Blood Pressure" items in samples of adults with hypertension. Dr. Roblin is currently KPGA's site investigator for the HMO Research Network Centers for Education and Research on Therapeutics (CERT) and the HMO Cancer Research Network (CRN). From 1998 to 2004, he served on the NCQA/ADA's Diabetes Physician Recognition Program Advisory Committee.
