Karen Margolis, MD, MPH

Senior Clinical Investigator at HealthPartners Research Foundation (HPRF) and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Margolis is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota and a Senior Clinical Investigator at HealthPartners Research Foundation (HPRF). She has spent the last decade working on large multicenter trials testing interventions to reduce cardiovascular morbidity, serving in leadership positions in NIH-funded multi-center trials including ALLHAT, ACCORD, and the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI). She continues to serve as the PI of the WHI Minneapolis Field Center.

Her research interests center on the epidemiology and prevention of cardiovascular disease in people with hypertension and diabetes, as well as on women's health. Dr. Margolis is a board certified internist and primary care physician at HealthPartners Medical Group.
