Lovelace Sandia Health Systems (LSHS)/Lovelace Clinic Foundation (LCF)
Lovelace Health Plan serves ~175,000 members in the Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, and Santa Fe areas. Lovelace Medical Center is a healthcare delivery system with ~250 physicians who belong to ABQ Health Partners. LCF is a non-profit health research institute that conducts health care delivery research and medical education, and LCF functions as LSHS’s and ABQ HP’s primary health services research arm, with active collaborations on research, disease management, clinical trials, and data validation projects. LCF staff includes 5 doctoral-level researchers, 3 nurse researchers, and 5 IT staff. Their work encompasses two areas: (1) health services research pertaining to evidence-based practices, outcomes and cost-effectiveness and (2) health information technology projects. The principal LCF IT project is the New Mexico Health systems and plans, funded primarily by federal contracts. Information Collaborative to establish health information exchange across all New Mexico health.
