The Department of Research & Evaluation (R&E) is the research unit of Kaiser Permanente Southern California (KPSC). KPSC serves 3.2 million members in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, and surrounding counties and employs more than 3,600 physicians. R&E’s mission is to initiate and conduct high-quality, innovative public-sector health services, epidemiologic, behavioral, and clinical research that has a demonstrable positive impact on the health and well being of its members and general population. The investigators in R&E come from a variety of disciplines and all are dedicated to improving the health of the diverse membership.
