Kaiser Permanente Northwest (KPNW) Center for Health Research (CHR)
CHR is the research unit of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Northwest Region (KPNW), whose research focuses on health care organization, financing, and delivery, and on epidemiology and disease prevention. KPNW serves ~460,000 members and employs >700 physicians. CHR includes 26 full-time and 9 adjunct researchers, and has affiliations with Oregon Health & Sciences University and other universities. Within the HMORN, CHR investigators have played a key leadership role in creating key shared data resources, including the Virtual Data Warehouse. The Virtual Data Warehouse is intended to support investigators at all member centers for the preparation of research proposals and conduct of collaborative efforts such as the proposed CVRN.
